Christian captures 2007 USA Classic Championship
MILLINGTON, Tenn. - ECS scored all the runs that they
would need in the top of the first as they defeated Bolton 4-2 in the 2007
USA Classic Championship game. Andrew Norrid scattered five hits and struck
out six in the complete game win.

ECS and
Bolton will battle for 15th annual USA Classic Championship
MILLINGTON, Tenn. - Two local teams with excellent starts
to the 2007 season advanced Friday to the championship game of the USA
Classic. Evangelical Christian (13-3) jumped out to a 12-0 lead over
University School of Jackson and held on for a 14-6 win, while Bolton (14-5)
rallied to defeat Memphis University School 7-6.
The championship appearance is the second for ECS in six trips to the
tournament. They lost the title game to Christian Brothers in 1996. Bolton
is making their third appearance in the Classic and has never finished
higher than 15th place. Game time is 6:00 p.m. on the main field.

Bolton comprise USA Classic Final Four
MILLINGTON, Tenn. - The 2007 USA Classic tournament
champion will be a first-time winner, as University School of Jackson,
Evangelical Christian, Memphis University School, and Bolton make up the
final four participants in the winner's bracket. USJ will take on ECS in the
first semifinal, while MUS will battle Bolton in the second game. For the
14th year out of 15, the tournament champion will reign from Tennessee.
Lexington Catholic broke the 13-year home state winning tradition in 2006.

Six Tennessee
schools, along with Utah and Florida, triumph in opening day of USA Classic
MILLINGTON, Tenn. - Area teams faired well against
national competition in the opening day of the 2007 USA Classic. Five of the
seven area teams picked up victories on Wednesday, including Briarcrest, ECS,
MUS, Bolton, and host CBHS. University School of Jackson (TN) defeated
Collierville, while Bingham (UT) and Pensacola Catholic (FL) were also
